Global Tax Governance

Aug

The global tax architecture is at a pivotal moment. After years of negotiation, the international tax community has introduced several frameworks to address base erosion, profit shifting, and the taxation of the digitalized economy.

These include the OECD-led Inclusive Framework’s Two-Pillar Solution, alongside increasing momentum toward a UN-led convention for international tax cooperation. While these developments mark progress, they also expose deep divisions in priorities, capacities, and outcomes between developed and developing countries.
