DRM components of the Moldova Business Regulatory, Investment, and Trade Environment (BRITE) project included activities for: • Enhancing electronic and web-based services for taxpayers. • Top-down Tax Gap analysis for the four main tax types and training risk management staff to better target tax gaps, reduce inspections, and improve voluntary compliance. • Implementing data exchange between tax authorities, customs and central registry to eliminate multiple, paper-based transactions between government and business. • Updating the integrated tariff of Moldova. • Supporting Moldova Customs to develop communication strategies, tools and outreach programs -- e.g. through the National Customs Consultative Committee.
