GOA PIFS PARTNERSHIP 2014 2023

Funding under this investment is to support the Australia and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) Partnership Arrangement up to 2023. The Partnership sets out how Australia and PIFS will work together to address major regional development issues in line with PIFS' mandate and will provide the mechanism through which all Australian ODA funds are provided to PIFS. It also guides the way in which all Australian Government stakeholders work with PIFS. Key objectives of the GoA PIFS Partnership Arrangement include the PIF Secretariat contributes to creating space for PIF Leaders to hold political discussions on regional issues of high priority to the region PIF Secretariat organisational reform in support of effective regionalism and Australia positioned as a strategic value adding PIF Secretariat partner. Australia's engagement with the Pacific Islands forum Secretariat is aligned to its Foreign Policy White Paper.
